September 27

It has been a long week!!! We took mom to the Doctor at UW and what a great hospital. Everyone was very reassuring that they would be able to help mom. Her chances of serviving this surgery in Seattle is much better. Joe and I were very happy about that.

This week at work has been very busy. Ordering for the Holidays and two new openings next month. Things have been crazy busy. But on Friday, Managment closed down shop at noon and we all went to the park and played games, had a great lunch, and some even had a water balloon fight that seemed to amuse everyone.

I came back home after the picnic and watched the presidental debate... what a joke, McCain I mean. But that is another story. We had a nice evening with Grandma, Mom, Aunt Susie and Uncle Stu, grandma bought us all fish and chips for dinner (thanks Grandma!!!) Then I had to say good bye. Aunt Susie is headed home today.

We will all miss her.... and Uncle Stu too...

Today was GREAT!!! Tara and I drove to Port Townsend to see my son Brian, I always have a really great time seeing and visiting with Brian. We had a really great lunch and walked around the town, It was a beautiful day.

I almost forgot I got one of my quilt finished, I have been working on the binding... A few more stitches and I will be totally done!!!!Yeah!!! A project mom and I have been working on for over a year... I beleive probably two....

What a great day!





I went to my shiatzu appointment this morning, that is always good... Then I went to Capitol Hill to see Bradley and Alison, That is always nice, and guess what, they are keeping Lily, they were headed out to adopt her today. We had a great Breakfast at a little place on capitol hill, it was great! Thanks Bradley for the delicious Breakfast.
Then I came to Bremerton and visited with my Grandma for a while, THEN I got to see and hold Hannah Joelle, She is really Beautiful!!!! Then I went to Barnes and Noble and got a couple of Books. Then I met Tara to go to a movie, we went to see The Women, Meg Ryan's new movie... funny! I am sooo tired, But it was a great day!

Happy Birthday Linda... we had a nice evening here with a nice dinner of stirfry and teryaki beef...Madison made Fuit cups and Isaac helped make the brownie and icecream and heavenlyhot fudge sauce.

Linda's sisters were able to make it over to celebrate this day!! It was really nice to see them again...
Joe is interviewing for X-box tomorrow.... good luck to him....

Look at these beautiful flowers, I stopped by Bradley and Alison's Apartment to give Brad his SS card and he brought out these great flowers.
Thanks again you guys.... My birthday seems to just go on and on and on.....

I have been working on my Birthday gift from Aunt Mary.... A beautiful table topper in civil war prints...Can't wait to get some of it together... I think these are the tiniest pieces I have ever worked with... and then ofcourse you have to make a million of them...

Another thing... I (I mean My Aunt Mary) is going to put in another beautiful Quilt to be quilted.. It is the flannel Kittie one I finished this last year and put in a box thinking I would quilt it on my machine... not going to happen, so I will soon have 2 quilts ready to bind....Yeah!!!

One More thing... Kristy is now blogging....Yeah.... It will be nice to keep in touch with all of our family... everyone welcome... It would be nice to see something from Steven and Jimmy.....If you watch Aunt Linda's blog you will catch glimpses of Patty. Katie is it possible to get Nick and Misty to Blog!!!!!

My Continued Birthday

Continued because I have a few fun pictures to share! My friend Mary made me this cheesecake cake for my birthday, kindof, it was for john too...I will see everyone this weekend.... Love you all ... And thanks again for making my birthday so nice...
And a second thanks to Brian for coming all the way to Bremerton to spend time with me. And Bradley and Alison for the delicious dinner and games... and a second thanks to Alison for the delicious Apple Blackberry pie.....I had so many desserts....

Where does the time go!
This has been a long two weeks off, and I go back to work tomorrow.WOW!!
I have pictures, but I want to get to bed, so just a note before I head back to work tomorrow. I would like to thank everyone for being the best family and friends someone could ask for. How could a MOM be happier than when both of her boys remember her birthday and would like to spend a little time with her.... It is just the best Gift... Thank you very much Brian and Bradley!!!! My mom and Aunt Susie have put together my Birthday party for our craft group which made me feel awfully special because my sister in law came... with Madison and Isaac and brought me a rich chocolate flourles torte.... yummy just the richest chocolate you can consume... and my cousin Laura stopped by along with my cousin Katie with all the kids... there was alot of hussle and bussle and it was all for ME!! Or so I would like to think..... But everyone was excited also that Misty was in the hospital having her little baby girl, and she is very beautiful, Welcome Kelsey!!!
My friend Tara also came over for Bingo and Cake.... Boy do we know how to have fun!!!
Brian came down to visit on Saturday night and I made us a nice Breakfast, and we have a couple of really nice visits before he left. Sunday I went to see Bradley and Alison. The took me out for Thai Food, which was delicious by the way, Thanks you guys~~~then we went back to their new great apartment on Capital Hill and Alison had made a delicious Blackberry Apple Pie, and served it with delicious blackberry ice cream...yummy!!! Brad had to whip my butt at bowling before I returned home to Joe and Linda's. Today I went to see my wonderful friend Mary and her family, This always makes me happy, Mary made me a delicious lunch and she was putting together a delicious cake... I like to think for my birthday... I will post pictures at a later date. we ran a couple of errands and visited the day away..... Always great to spend time with friends.
Well I better get to bed, I have to make sure I will get up with my alarm tomorrow and get back to work.
