Christmas Eve

Wow, The snow just doesn't end!!!!!
This is actually yesterday at Costco Corp Offices, the back area where I walk everyday, and sometimes in the summer have lunch.

As I was walking around the lake, there were some ducks walking around on the ice.

Christmas Eve, Looking outside Linda and Joe's sliding glass doors in the front.

On our walk this morning Isaac was rolling large snowballs along the way.

The trees were beautiful.

Check out the trees lining this street that had been cleared off by the last wind storm a couple of days ago.

Isaac just being cute!

Can you believe this, Christmas Eve People work on top of this building working. I had to stop and watch that for a minute.

FINALLY we made it to Starbucks for a Peppermint Mocha. Isaac had a carmel hot chocolate.

Check out this icicle formation we saw...cool huh?

Then when we got home Madison was baking her favorite cookies so we would have some for Christmas, I have to say she did an excellent Job!!! They tasted delicious.

And Joe, after he saved us from having to walk 2 miles back up the huge hill..... Thanks Joe.

I am very lucky to have family here to share this part of my life with.

I am trying not to be to sad that I can't see ALL my family and friends tomorrow... but it looks like the weather is going to warm up by this weekend and will be happy to see everyone when I can safely make it to see you.....

For Now.... Have a Happy Holiday.... And hope to see you all soon.

The Endless Snow!!!

This is what Joe loves doing, just like you, MOM...:).

We were all getting into the Holiday spirit... we made stained glass cookies, While Madison, Linda and Joe were at Madison's Nutcracker performance...she had three this snowy weekend... Isaac and I worked hard, shoveling my car off and around it... so maybe just maybe I could drive to work in the am..... It has been snowing ever since... Joe said when he came in "Kim your car is covered again." :s

Isaac and I made the sugar cookie dough and got everything ready for madison and linda to get home.

When we came in from playing in the snow... and me going for a long walk.... Isaac sat by the fireplace and had a chocolate mint cookie I made the other day....He was a happy boy!!

We both worked hard outside...hoping to get out...to work tomorrow...

We found Icicles when we walked around the house...

And large drifts of snow...

We went for another long walk down by Marymore Park... then to the bookstore to get a new book for Madison...She came with us this time....

This was the other night when Madison and I made the Chocolate mint cookies....Yummy...I wish you were here Bradley..... Love you!!!!

Isaac was helping Linda make some cookies too...

Madison's Snowman....

Joe playing again....because this what he like to do to relax.....But he has been taking care of us all, making sure Madison gets to all her commitments and Linda gets to shop....And he said he would try to take me to work tomorrow....
He reminds me alot of Dad!!! Love you all!!

I went to Capitol Hill Tuesday Night and had a christmas evening with Brad and Alison....we went to the Broadway Grill....they have the best Gorganzola Fries...And this wonderful Crab sandwich. Chunks of carmelized onion and alvacado...yummmy...big chunks of Crab.,...yummy again... then we grabbed a hot chocolate at Dilettante's Mocha Cafe and went in search of some christmas spirit in the form of pretty light shows... We didn't find much, next time we will have to do a little homework to find where the good spots to go are. Always fun to be with some of my favorite people.

Me after the 5 mile trek through the SNOW... But , it was a beautiful day... After a short nap, I am going to try to muster up the strength to put together some choc mimt cookies to share at Christmas.
